Lyophilization Reagent (2X) Concentrate is a mannitol based solution that helps to simplify the freeze drying of proteins and other biomolecules.  Formulated from a combination of lyoprotectant and matrix excipient, Lyophilization Reagent (2X) Concentrate is simply mixed with an equal volume of sample and then freeze dried.  The sample should be prepared with a minimum of salt prior to freeze drying.  The unique formulation of the Lyophilization Reagent allows for primary drying at relatively high temperatures (from -10 to -5°C) which helps to speed the entire process.  The reagent is sterilized by filtration and provided in 100 and 500 ml bottles.
