In
November of 2009 we moved our operation from Bridgewater, NJ, to
Lebanon, NJ. We've been in business since 1987 and were in
Bridgewater since 1991. Our new facility is more spacious and better suited
for our operation. Like the Jefferson's, we're movin' on up!
Our contact information is the same and our new address can be found
on our contact page.
Moving was an interesting experience. Being one who never throws
anything away, we all got a good laugh out of the "stuff" packed away
in long-term storage (that includes the depths of the freezer).
Here are some of the more interesting items:
-
Six very
old Mac computers, all of which still work.
-
A tube
of BamHI with an expiration date of January 1988. The
enzyme was still active meaning it outlived its maker, IBI, which was
acquired by Kodak in the 1990s.
-
An
Arthur H. Thomas Co. Super Mixer which must be as old as the moon.
-
A
Biosearch peptide synthesizer with big glass doors. We've moved
this to our lobby to use as a display cabinet.
As we
unpack over the next several months, I'm sure we'll find new relics of
the past. We'll post anything that gives us a good laugh.
David Burden, President |

David Burden huddling with the first three computers
used to start his business. The top computer is the original Mac
(purchased in 1984) and it still works. This computer was
state-of the-art for personal computing having a single sided 3.5"
drive and 128K of memory. Each time it was booted, a system disk
was used to upload the operating system. When word processing, a
total of four pages could be written before the computer ran out of
memory.
