Designed to the SBS 24
well format, the 24 Well Vial Sets are for high throughput
homogenization of kernels, seeds and animal tissues. Each set
contains 24 polycarbonate screw cap tubes, 24 stainless steel 3/8 inch
grinding balls, and 24 polypropylene caps.
Vials can be sealed with caps or an otional sealing mat (contact us
for details) during grinding and
then capped and handled as individual samples. Tubes are formatted
correctly for liquid handling. |

Physically separated tubes
helps to prevent cross-contamination of samples, but for added
protection, PTFE-lined caps are available for tightly sealing vials.
Vials with PTFE-lined caps have been used effectively used to contain
viruses during tissue homogenization. |

For labs using solvents
incompatible with polycarbonate, the 24 Well PE Vial Sets are a useful
alternative Resistant to many solvents that melt polycarbonate, these
cost effective PE Vial Sets
are suitable for most small seeds and animal tissue. These are not
optically clear and not
recommended for corn kernels. |

15 ml PC Vial Set
(polycarbonate vials) |
The 15 ml Vial Set was developed for researchers who required pooled
samples for analysis. This product was designed for the
difficult job of dry grinding 15 lyophilized corn kernels for field
trials. Each 15 ml Vial Set comes with 5 polycarbonate vials per
box with two stainless steel grinding balls per vial. |
