Zirconium oxide grinding balls are used when homogenizing tissues in extraction buffers such as TRI Reagent and Trizol.  Resistant to oxidation in phenol, unlike stainless steel grinding balls, zirconium oxide balls are durable and more dense than glass and zirconium/silicate oxides.  The balls are reusable and can be dropped with standard 5/32" ball droppers.   1000 balls per package.
