OPS Diagnostics offers a complete line of hand held and bench rotor-stator homogenizers.  This motor driven homogenizer is significantly different in design from pestle-type homogenizers and mechanical bead beater or mixer mill homogenizers.  A shaft (rotor-stator) attached to the motor is rotated at speeds ranging from 5000 to 35,000 rpm.  Smaller hand held units can be used to process small samples in microfuge tubes while bench top models can emulsify up to 40 liters.

A variety of rotor stators are available for sample processing.  Rotor-stators are essentially a rotating shaft (rotor) inside a stationary tube (stator).  The tip of the shaft is machined to have slots or windows while the rotor is designed to serve as a blade.  Like scissors, the rotor slices through any material straddling the slot in the stator.

Contact us at (908) 253-3444 or email info@btc-bti.com so we can match you up with the best rotor-stator/ homogenizer combination.
